Information DiscCam processes

DiscCam processes photos you capture with its camera and images you select through a system photo picker to provide features you choose to use. Collectible records, source images, and related media are stored in the app’s local storage. Copies you save, export, or share are separate from that storage.

DiscCam does not provide user accounts, ads, or a DiscCam cloud storage or sync service for collectibles. Device backups and photo-library services are separate from DiscCam.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

DiscCam uses Firebase Analytics to understand app usage and feature performance. Analytics processes app-instance identifiers, feature interactions, automatic usage and session events, purchase events, app and device information, and approximate region derived from network information. DiscCam uses Firebase Crashlytics for crash reports, stack traces, non-fatal errors, and related diagnostics, including installation/session identifiers and activity breadcrumbs.

DiscCam intentionally excludes captured photos and videos, generated Photo and Motion exports, collectible UUIDs, filenames, local file paths, and freeform user content from the custom Analytics and Crashlytics payloads it sends. This does not describe all data collected automatically by the Firebase SDKs.

Purchases and DiscCam Pro

DiscCam offers Monthly and Yearly subscriptions and a Lifetime one-time purchase for Core Pro. Apple or Google handles billing. DiscCam uses RevenueCat to process store purchase and transaction information, validate purchases, determine Pro access, restore eligible purchases, and provide purchase analytics.

RevenueCat assigns an SDK-generated App User ID that is not a DiscCam account identifier. RevenueCat processes this identifier and purchase history to provide purchase and entitlement services. DiscCam does not receive your payment-card details.

Apple Music catalog search

On iOS, your search text and catalog region are sent through DiscCam’s backend to Apple Music. The region comes from your device’s locale, with a US fallback, not GPS or your Apple Music account. DiscCam’s app and backend code do not log search text or track selections. The backend uses IP-based rate limiting, and hosting providers process technical request information to operate and protect the service. Attached song IDs, titles, artists, and their order are saved locally; collectible media and saved Tracklists are not uploaded for catalog search. This feature does not provide playback, access your Apple Music library, or request music authorization.

Permissions

DiscCam requests access only when needed for a feature you choose to use.

Camera access is used to capture moments inside DiscCam.

On iOS, permission to add to Photos is requested when needed to save Cover Art or prepare media for TikTok sharing. On older Android versions, saving Cover Art may require storage permission.

Custom Story backgrounds use a system photo picker to access the image you select, without requesting access to your entire photo library.

You can review or change permissions at any time in your device settings.

Exporting and sharing

DiscCam can create Photo and Motion exports from your collectibles.

When you choose a supported destination such as Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok, DiscCam may pass the generated media directly to that app so you can continue editing or posting there. The destination service then processes the media according to its own terms and privacy practices.

The More option uses your device’s native system share sheet. The destination or action you choose may save or share additional copies.

Save Cover Art saves the generated image to your photo library. On iOS, TikTok sharing also creates a Photos copy of the selected export so TikTok can import it. DiscCam attempts cleanup only when existing Photos access allows it; automatic deletion is not guaranteed. The copy may remain in Photos, including after a cancelled or failed share, and you may need to delete it manually in Photos.

Website information

This website uses Vercel Web Analytics to measure visits and understand which pages are used. Vercel may process standard technical information needed to provide these measurements and operate the website.

The website does not provide user accounts or intentionally set advertising cookies. Hosting providers may also process standard request information, such as IP addresses and browser details, to deliver and protect the site.

Sharing and disclosure

Information may be processed by service providers that operate DiscCam, such as Firebase, RevenueCat, and Vercel, or disclosed when required by law, needed to protect users and the service, or connected with a legitimate business transfer.

Children’s privacy

DiscCam is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please use the Support page to contact us.

Your choices

You can review or revoke Camera and Photos permissions in your device settings and delete local collectibles in DiscCam. Deleting app data does not delete copies in Photos, copies held by sharing destinations, or records processed by service providers. Uninstalling DiscCam does not cancel a subscription.

You can contact us through the Support page about privacy or app issues. We use the email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send to respond to your request. Please avoid sending private media or payment details you do not need to share.
